How to check another user's e-mails
If a user needs to check e-mails for another user on a regular basis, there are two possibilities.
1) The account to be checked can be created on both users' workstations. In this case the person doing the checking has full control over the account being checked and can delete e-mails from that account. However simultaneously connecting to the same IMAP account can be troublesome, though the Open Source e-mail client Thunderbird seems to cope better under these circumstances.
2) Alternatively, e-mails from the account to be checked can be sent as copies to the user who is to do the checking. This way the person checking can delete the e-mails when checked, keeping their own e-mail account tidy. This leaves the e-mails intact on the originating user's account for them to housekeep their own e-mail. This would be the preferred and safer method and can be set on the server to automate the process.
